Extensive Site Analysis and Master Plan of a 10 acre ranch campus outside Livingston, Montana. Private residence designed to take advantage of passive solar heating and natural ventilation. Terraced landscaping became integral to the design to protect the house from harsh winds while enabling for views to the Absaroka Mountain Range. The design also incorporates the use of a natural spring, allowing a stream feature to flow through it and into a man-made pond with landscape berm to block undesirable views and noise from the road yet retaining views to the Crazy Mountain Range and Sheep Mountain. The Master Plan also includes gardens, orchard, walking paths, pastures, a barn with guest accommodations, and shop.
